DEPUTY MINISTER ‘S GARLAND MADE OUT OF PRAWNS

DEPUTY MINISTER OF FISHERIES GREETED WITH A PRAWN GARLAND

All garlands are mainly made out of flowers. However a few days ago the Deputy Minister of Fisheries Sarath Kumara Gunaratna was garlanded at a function with a garland made out of prawns. He had been garlanded in that manner as he had in consultation with the President had temporarily suspended catching of prawns through the ‘trolling’ method. There had been 14 large prawns in the garland covered well with polethene. The length of which was 7-8 feet. This appreciation had been made in the ‘Dikowila’ church premises.
