New cabinet swears in

The swearing in ceremony of the new cabinet of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa new government took place this morning (22) at 9 at presidential secretariat. While 16 cabinet ministers took their oaths, there was no swearing in of deputy state or other ministers.  The full name-list of ministers who  took their oaths is as follows:

 Mahinda Rajapaksa - Prime minister and minister of finance, economic affairs and policy
development, Buddha sasana, cultural and religious affairs 
Nimal Siripala de Silva - Minister of justice, human rights and legal reforms
Arumugam Thondaman - Minister of community empowerment and estate infrastructure
Dinesh Gunawardena - Foreign affairs, skills and labour development
S.M. Chandrasena - Environment, wildlife resources, land and land development
Ramesh Pathirana - Plantation industries and export agriculture
Prasanna Ranatunga - Industrial export and investment promotion, tourism and aviation services
Johnston Fernando - Road and highways, ports and naval affairs
Wimal Weerawansa - Small and medium-scale enterprises, entrepreneur development, industries and supply management
Mahinda Amaraweera - Public transport management, power and energy
Janaka Bandara Tennakoon - Public administration, internal affairs; provincial and local government
Chamal Rajapaksa - Mahaweli. agriculture, irrigation and rural development, internal trade, customer welfare
Dalas Alahapperuma - Education, sports and youth affairs
Douglas Devananda - Fisheries and aquatic resources
Pavithra Wanniarachchi - Health and women's affairs
Bandula Gunawardena - Higher education
