President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasizes that political groups operating without a clear vision and a formal organizational structure, with restless minds, create anarchy within society. In contrast, he points out that formal political campaigns with a specific political vision are equally beneficial for the country's stability and the government.

The President made this statement while addressing the National Conference of the National Intellectuals' Organization held today (31st).

Analyzing the behavior of opposition political groups in the face of contemporary society, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake urged those groups to bring their political campaigns onto a formal path. He stated that informal and chaotic political actions, such as suddenly sculpting clay figures or at other times taking up snake charmer's staffs, have already become subjects of intense ridicule and disgust among the public.

But what will battles do that are restless and confused, with an informal vision, unable to figure out what they're doing, suddenly sculpting a clay figure, or elsewhere taking a snake charmer's staff? They create social anarchy. Therefore, we tell our opposing group, who are ready to engage in informal politics, to formalize your struggles. Make your struggles a vision; it is beneficial for the country.

The President explained that the challenge facing the country today is the inherent risk in the statements and actions emanating from these restless groups. He emphasized that it is impossible to predict what kind of behavior they will engage in, and there is a certain danger in not being able to tell what actions they will take in the future. Therefore, the President pointed out that society should observe the behavior of these groups more vigilantly.

Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that even though a situation like traffic congestion might arise when a formal campaign with a clear vision is implemented, society eventually achieves stability through it. However, he said that the informal actions of the current opposition groups have merely become a farce that draws laughter from society, and he further stated that they are becoming a small clique alienated from the general public, bringing about their own destruction.
