According to the Airbus case, the court ordered to extend his remand until October 13th. In addition, a special investigation is also underway against Mr. Namal Rajapaksa regarding money laundering charges related to the Airbus transaction.

Mr. Namal Rajapaksa has also been named as the fourth suspect in the case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption at the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court regarding the Krish transaction. He has been accused of accepting a bribe of 70 million rupees when leasing the Transworks Square in Fort, Colombo, owned by the Urban Development Authority, to 'Krish Transworks Colombo' private company. In connection with this case, Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama ordered him to be further remanded until the 6th of next month. Furthermore, the Magistrate further ordered that the suspect MP be taken directly to the prison as a measure to ensure his safety.
