Yesterday, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa stated this in front of a media camera crew.
"Today, there is massive repression. Perhaps the government might even try to imprison Namal Rajapaksa, who is speaking now, before the 12th.
Because when the government realizes that a large crowd is coming to Anuradhapura on the 12th — because the President is now going from village to village — then the difference will be clear. Perhaps Namal Rajapaksa might even be imprisoned before the 12th. To cover up the government's thefts, the government has today reached a point where it completely suppresses the trade union movement and the citizens of this country."
