A 24-hour water cut will be imposed tomorrow (03) in Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Dehiwala, Moratuwa, and several other areas.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board announces that the water supply to Colombo and several surrounding areas will be suspended for 24 hours from tomorrow (03) 8.00 PM until Friday (04) 8.00 PM due to essential maintenance work to be carried out at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.

With this measure, the water supply will be completely suspended in the areas of Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, Soysapura, Angulana, Indibedda, Katubedda, Kaldemulla, Modara, Koralawella, Egodauyana, and Katukurunda.

It is also stated that this water cut will affect consumer zones such as Sethsiripaya, Himbutana, Udumulla Road, Maligagodella, Bank Junction Road, W.A. Silva Mawatha, Havelock Road, Kalyani Road, Colombo 06, Hospital Roundabout Road, Jayanthi Mawatha, and Shanthi Mawatha.

Expressing its regret for the inconvenience caused to the public due to the suspension of the water supply, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board further requests consumers to use water as sparingly as possible during the specified period.
