Even though I am a tiger, I joined with the lion because the fox filed 29 cases against me - An investigation into Archuna's story

A complaint has been lodged with the Criminal Investigation Department regarding an alleged incident where the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) organization was promoted at a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) rally held recently in Anuradhapura. In the face of accusations from various parties that the promotion or support of the LTTE, which is a banned organization in Sri Lanka, occurred through statements made during this rally, this complaint was lodged by a coalition of civil organizations named 'United Opposition', Police Media Spokesperson and Assistant Superintendent of Police F.

Attention has been drawn to the statements made at this rally, which was attended by several politicians including former Minister Wimal Weerawansa and Member of Parliament Archchuna Ramanathan.

Addressing the rally, Member of Parliament Archchuna Ramanathan introduced himself as a 'tiger' and criticized the public for electing President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, referring to him as a 'fox'.

Even for supporters of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), who have long severely criticized any mention of the LTTE organization, this was a great surprise; however, when the name LTTE was mentioned on the stage in Anuradhapura, SLPP politicians were seen applauding it.

“Our people asked me to convey a message to the Sinhala people, saying that no matter what happens, we will stand with the Sinhala people in this country. That is my first message to this country. I would like to say that when I think of the Sinhala people, the first person who comes to my mind is only Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa. No one else. A lion can be in one jungle. A tiger can be there. But you have given the fox.

Not even for a single day in 76 years has that happened in this country. The biggest mistake you made, and I, being this tiger, am telling you, is that you have appointed the fox. That is why I am coming forward with the lion to speak. Even as a Member of Parliament, I have to go alone today and tomorrow to see you. But during the time he was president, during the time he was a minister, not a single MP went without police or security.

Now I come saying 'tiger, tiger,' and then MP Namal is sitting in the chair next to me. Then he said, 'Buddy, come out for a bit, let's talk'.
