Ahead of the 30th anniversary of the late Princess Diana's passing next year, a highly controversial piece of information regarding King Charles III has been revealed. This information was published by the Daily Mail newspaper on September 19, based on several facts included in the latest book titled "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," written by Charles Spencer, Princess Diana's younger brother.

The book is officially scheduled to be published on September 22.

This insensitive incident reportedly occurred during the funeral service of Spencer and Princess Diana's father, held at a church in Northampton in April 1992. As Spencer, then 27 years old, watched his father's body being carried towards the church and wept, Prince Charles, then, reportedly told him, "You are truly lucky." When Spencer, doubting what he heard, inquired again, Charles reiterated that it was a great fortune to inherit the title of Earl and the associated vast estates and properties of approximately 13,000 acres (52.61 square kilometers) at such a young age. Spencer states that Prince Charles behaved like a stubborn child, kicking his feet, at that moment.

Prince Charles, then, further commented that despite being 43 years old and having 50 people working under him, his parents still treated him like a small child. Queen Elizabeth II reigned until the age of 96, while King Charles ascended to the British throne in September 2022 at the age of 73, becoming the oldest British royal to inherit the crown.

Another controversial incident that occurred after Princess Diana's death in 1997 was also included in previously published sections. It is said that during an argument with Spencer, Prince Charles called him on the phone and shouted, "Don't worry, we'll soon forget her." Although the British Royal Family issued a rare official statement denying this claim, Spencer firmly rejected the Royal Family's denial.
