With 45 days remaining until the US midterm elections scheduled for next November, the conflict between President Donald Trump and leading media organizations has further intensified. As one step, CNN

(CNN), MS NOW, and Politico, American media organizations, have been banned from entering the White House by the President.

President Trump announced his decision by posting on his own social media network, 'Truth Social'. There, he referred to CNN as a media organization that publishes 'fake news', and stated that MS NOW is an organization that recently changed its name due to low audience response and declining credibility. He also accused Politico of having received an illegal and unfair subscriber fee of $8 million during the former Joe Biden administration. He further stated that this ban was imposed due to continuous reporting of fake news, and that several other media organizations reporting such fake news would be banned in the future.

Later, when the President met with journalists at the White House, he was asked if this action violated the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of the press. In response, he stated that he also protects the First Amendment and that these organizations continuously report fake news. He said that this step was taken based on reports gathered over the past two years, and accused these media organizations of publishing negative articles with the aim of damaging the reputation of the Republican Party and the administration.

The President, reminding that significant progress had been achieved in economic indicators such as employment rates and poverty eradication during his administration, also commented on the ongoing crisis with Iran. He stated that Iran would not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons from now on.

When asked what would happen if legal challenges arose regarding this media ban, Trump said that it was a good thing to point out this issue, whether it went through the judicial process or not. He stated that the court should not allow daily publication of fake news, and emphasized that while there was no hindrance for these media organizations to write articles, he had no desire to allow them into the White House, which is the people's house.

Additionally, the President accused major newspapers such as The New York Times (NYT) and The Washington Post (WP) of engaging in 'fake news' reporting, and stated that these newspapers might also be denied entry to the White House in the future.
