Breaking into a beauty salon, cutting the owner's hand, and robbing gold items.

The Peliyagoda Headquarters Police have launched a wide investigation to find two suspects who stabbed and injured the owner of a beauty salon in the Pethiyagoda area, robbing her of gold jewelry and money before fleeing. Yesterday (22) afternoon, one of two individuals who arrived in a three-wheeler broke into the said beauty salon and committed this crime.

The suspect who entered the premises threatened the beautician with death and cut her hand with a knife blade, causing injuries. Subsequently, he proceeded to rob her of a gold necklace worth four hundred and eighty thousand rupees, a gold pendant worth eighty thousand rupees, and fifty-eight thousand rupees in cash that she possessed.

The individual, along with the stolen gold jewelry and money, fled the area in the three-wheeler he arrived in, accompanied by the other person, police said. The beautician has lodged a complaint with the Peliyagoda Headquarters Police regarding the incident, and a team of officers from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Peliyagoda Headquarters Police is conducting investigations to apprehend the two fleeing suspects.
