A ban on the Frontline due to the case filed by Tilvin

Gampaha No. 3 District Judge Ms. Dulani Weerawardhana issued an interim injunction and restraining order on the 21st, preventing the alteration of the current status of the 'Ape Niwahana' party office located on Gampaha Yakkala Road and preventing its possession from being transferred to any third party.

The property in question was previously handed over to the Frontline Socialist Party for possession by a Magistrate's Court order. However, after considering a petition filed by Mr. Tilvin Silva, the General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, through his lawyers, alleging that members of that party were forcibly and illegally occupying the premises and attempting to change the nature of the party office, the judge issued this order.

The court also ordered the issuance of summons to the defendant party in relation to this order. Attorney-at-Law Ishan Alawathurage appeared on behalf of the plaintiff party, acting on the instructions of Attorneys-at-Law Chamara Saputhanthri, Nikini Mapitigama, and Thanuja Sandaruwan.
