Sakasbarak accused of not helping a boat that ran out of fuel and sought assistance

A Meta spokesperson has stated that the crew of Mark Zuckerberg's luxury yacht did not hear the radio message issued last week to assist a small boat stranded off the coast of Alaska due to running out of fuel. He further stated that by the time they learned about the message, another vessel had already provided the necessary assistance to the boat.

According to the Alaska Beacon news service, the small boat requested assistance through the U.S. Coast Guard, and a nearby small passenger vessel named 'Wilderness Legacy' towed it to Farragut Bay in Southeast Alaska and provided it with fuel. It is reported that although Zuckerberg's yacht 'Launchpad' was closer to the distressed boat, they initially did not respond to the call.

In an email comment on Sunday, the spokesperson confirmed that Mark Zuckerberg and his family members were not on board the yacht at the time of the incident. He explained that the Coast Guard's message was received on a different radio channel than the one the crew was monitoring, causing them to miss it, and by the time they checked the relevant channel, the boat was already receiving assistance. The Coast Guard also indicated that the boat was not in severe danger.

The email further stated that they were pleased that all parties involved in the incident were safe. However, a person on the passenger vessel had previously stated on social media that authorities repeatedly called Zuckerberg's yacht via radio messages, but they continuously refused to respond.
