Ratna Sri returns to work

Veteran poet Dr. Ratna Sri Wijesinghe has announced that he has resumed duties as the Chairman of the National Library and Documentation Services Board.

He had previously informed the media last Thursday (30) that he had decided to resign from that position. However, he stated that he decided to resume duties in the position after considering a request made by the government.

Dr. Ratna Sri Wijesinghe, who stated that he received requests from the government to remain in service and continue his work for a little longer, further explained that accordingly, he will continue to carry out the duties of the position, enduring the existing difficulties.
