The Ministry of Education has officially announced the school term schedule and holiday periods for all government and government-approved private schools for the year 2027. According to the proposed public holidays and school calendar, the total number of school days for the upcoming year is planned to be maintained at 197.

Accordingly, the first school term of the new academic year is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 04, 2027, and continue until Friday, April 09. The first term holiday will be from April 10 to April 25, and the second term will commence on Monday, April 26, 2027. This term will run until Friday, July 30, and arrangements have been made for the second term holiday to be from July 31 to August 29.

The third school term is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 30, 2027, and conclude on Friday, December 03. Additionally, the Ministry plans to hold the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination for the year 2027 in August 2027, and the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in December 2027.

Meanwhile, new classes for Grade 12 in 2027 are scheduled to commence on June 15. Furthermore, the Ministry of Education's announcement also states that the third school term for Grade 13 must conclude on July 16, 2027, with the completion of syllabus coverage and term examinations.
