The video of this mother dolphin named 'Fraggles' swimming with her dead calf on her back was uploaded on the 20th by the Geographe Marine Research organization, which works to protect whales and dolphins. The Geographe Marine Research organization stated that three of her previous calves had died, and she swam for six days to express her grief, unable to bear the loss of her fourth calf.

The organization mentioned that the deceased calf was two weeks old, and since three previous calves had also died, Fraggles is a well-known figure in the marine world. It is also said that this dolphin calf, born amidst extremely cold weather, died from pneumonia. The Geographe Marine Research organization also stated that many zoologists believed this time the calf would be able to survive.
