Water cut in several areas of Colombo on Saturday (04)

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board announces that water supply will be suspended for a 12-hour period from 9.00 AM to 9.00 PM tomorrow (04) in Colombo and several surrounding areas. This is due to essential maintenance work scheduled to be carried out at the Mulleriyawa substation of the electricity supply system, which will temporarily suspend the power supply to the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.

Under these circumstances, in addition to the main Colombo city limits from 01 to 15, water supply is also scheduled to be suspended in the areas of Battaramulla, Pelawatta, Hokandara, Koswatta, Thalawathugoda, Kotte, Rajagiriya, Mirihana, Madiwela, Nugegoda, Kalubowila, Kohuwala, and Nawala.

Furthermore, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board further states that water supply will also be suspended during the said period in the areas of Kolonnawa, IDH, Kotikawatta, Angoda, Wellampitiya, Orugodawatta, Kaduwela, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, and Piliyandala.
