Rohitha Rajapaksa summoned over a fraudulent business transaction in Mirihana

Mr. Rohitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, has arrived at the Colombo Central Criminal Investigation Department to give a statement. It is reported that he appeared before the bureau today for questioning in connection with a special investigation being carried out by the Police Central Criminal Investigation Department.

Police have taken steps to record this statement from him, contributing to an ongoing investigation into an incident involving the investment of 19 million rupees in two institutions located in the Mirihana area. Police sources state that he arrived at the investigation premises a short while ago to give a statement regarding the extensive investigations being conducted into this financial investment.
