Amidst rumors that Gotabaya Rajapaksa would be arrested for questioning as the suspected 'mastermind' of the Easter attacks, Mr. Rajapaksa worshipped at the historic Kataragama Kirivehera this morning (12). Social media users have stated that his face showed intense fear and stress.

It is noteworthy that former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, accompanied by his wife, visited the Chief Incumbent of Kirivehera Rajamaha Viharaya, Venerable Kobawaka Dhamminda Nahimi, received blessings, and then held a special offering at the historic Kataragama Kirivehera stupa, also receiving the blessings of God Mahasen and God Dadimunda.

It was also reported that Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa later worshipped and received blessings from the Ashtaphala Ruha Bodhi tree.
