steps have been taken to remove Donald Trump's name, which was inscribed on the exterior wall of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This action was taken a few hours after an American judge rejected an emergency appeal filed to prevent the removal of the name.

During the previous administration, the name of the arts center was changed by adding "The Donald J. Trump" sections, based on a unanimous decision by the board of trustees appointed by Trump. However, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper ruled that this was an illegal act contrary to the name decided by Congress in 1964, and ordered the removal of the name.

According to this order, a deadline was given until 11:59 PM on Friday to remove the name, but since the work was not completed within that time, workers began the task of removing the letters from early Saturday morning. Although a temporary cover was initially used to prevent public viewing, workers were able to successfully remove Trump's name within approximately 30 minutes.

A crowd gathered at the site happily welcomed the removal of Trump's name and hoped to see the venue renamed "John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts." The judge delivered this ruling as a result of a lawsuit filed by Democratic Representative Joyce Beatty of Ohio, further emphasizing that only Congress has the legal right to change the name of the Kennedy Center. Additionally, the judge temporarily suspended Trump's request to close the center for two years for renovations.
