By stepping onto the field against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, he played his 278th IPL

match, and with that, he has taken the joint lead in this exclusive list alongside Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

At this juncture, marking a significant milestone in the nineteen-year history of the IPL, it is noteworthy that three of the most successful players to represent the tournament are now at the forefront. Rohit, who began his IPL journey representing the Deccan Chargers in the inaugural tournament in 2008, contributed to winning his maiden trophy in 2009.
