Nadeesha Lekamge wins silver medal in javelin throw

Nadeesha Dilhani Lekamge has won a silver medal for Sri Lanka in the women's javelin throw event at the Asian Throwing Athletics Championship held in South Korea. Her performance, recording a distance of 56.79 meters, is noted as her best performance this season.

Both the gold and bronze medals in this event were won by Japanese athletes.

Sumedha Ranasinghe of Sri Lanka, who represented the men's javelin throw event held concurrently with this championship, has already qualified for the final after completing his preliminary rounds.
