Parliamentarian Dr. Harsha de Silva stated that the current government is a failure and that he will not join the government. Posting on his Facebook account, he further stated that his journey will continue until he leads the center-right camp.
The country needs a new era.
No one in my family is involved in politics. In my youth, I developed a deep concern for the country. I felt that my country too should one day be a developed nation in the world, and that I should dedicate myself to that goal. That feeling pushed me into politics, and it remains the same even today.
I am working to fulfill that hope one day. Therefore, I do not make any political decisions looking for narrow political gains. It seems some people want to remove me from the center-right camp. That will never happen. My politics will definitely move forward until I lead that camp one day. This government is a failure. It is clear that this government lacks a visionary economic outlook. This government cannot develop this country with closed-minded ideas that are not open to the world. That will become even clearer in the future.
I will not join this government. I have never had such a discussion. It also appears from these campaigns that some people want to create a problem within the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB). I will intensify the struggle against this government in the future to build a developed Sri Lanka with economic prosperity. Not by opposing everything, but by promoting a progressive political culture that acknowledges what is good.
I also emphasize that I am ready to take on any significant challenge for the country when necessary. The country needs a new era.
