What would you think if you heard about a young man who, knowing that death was certain if he set foot on it, secretly snuck onto the world's most dangerous island with a bottle of Diet Coke and a coconut?

This incredible incident is reported from 'North Sentinel' Island, part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. A 24-year-old American YouTuber, Mikhailovich Polyakov, who secretly entered this island inhabited by indigenous people living without any contact with the outside world, using GPS technology, was recently arrested by the Indian police.

A resident of Arizona, he whistled to attract the attention of the indigenous people and left a bottle of Diet Coke and a coconut on the beach as a gift for them. After staying there for about an hour, recording video footage, and putting some sand from the beach in his pocket, he was caught by a group of fishermen while returning and was apprehended by law enforcement in Port Blair.

The Sentinelese, who have lived for thousands of years without any understanding of the modern world, view any outsider entering their territory as an enemy. Patrolling the beach with bows, arrows, and spears, they mercilessly gift death to anyone who sets foot on their island. In 2006, two fishermen who were lost at sea and landed on this island, as well as an American national named John Allen Chau who went there for missionary work in 2018, tragically lost their lives to the arrows of these indigenous people. A YouTuber entering an island with such a bloody history, solely for the purpose of becoming popular on the internet, has drawn severe criticism from many.

The Indian government has deployed naval ships to prohibit entry within a three-mile radius around this island, not solely for the safety of tourists. The Sentinelese people, who have no contact with the outside world, lack immunity to even minor illnesses like the common cold or flu that affect ordinary people. Therefore, even a small touch from an outsider could be powerful enough to wipe out an entire tribe from the face of the earth. Such short-sighted attempts to go 'viral', endangering one's own life as well as the existence of one of the rarest human populations remaining in the world, highlight a dangerous aspect of modern internet culture to society.

No matter how much the world modernizes, the inhabitants of North Sentinel Island, who allow no one to intrude upon their solitude, will continue to remain a dark and unconquered secret of nature.
