President participates in the official head oiling ceremony

After worshipping the historic Sacred Tooth Relic and receiving blessings, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake participated in the 'State Oil Anointing Ceremony 2026' which was held ceremonially this morning (15) at 6.55 AM, at an auspicious time, under the patronage of the Mahanayaka Theros of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters of the Shyamopali Maha Nikaya of the Mahavihara Vansa, at the Sri Maha Natha Devalaya premises within the historic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy.
