Nuwan Thushara to take legal action against Shammi for not allowing him to go to the IPL

National cricket team fast bowler Nuwan Thushara has filed a complaint with the Colombo District Court, requesting an order compelling Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to him, with the aim of participating in various international premier league tournaments, including the Indian Premier League (IPL).

This legal complaint, filed through Senior Consulting Attorney G. G. Arulpragasam, was called before the Colombo District Court today (02). After considering the facts, the court ordered the issuance of summons to the relevant respondents and decided to recall the complaint for further consideration on April 09.

Four high-ranking officials of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have been named as respondents in this complaint. Accordingly, Mr. Shammi Silva, President of Sri Lanka Cricket, Mr. Bandula Dissanayake, Secretary, Mr. Sujeewa Godaliyadda, Treasurer, and Mr. Ashley de Silva, Chief Executive Officer, have been named as respondents.
