Kottawa massage parlor raided, 13 female prostitutes and 2 male prostitutes arrested

Kottawa Police have successfully raided three brothels operating in the Kottawa area, posing as Ayurvedic massage centers, and arrested fifteen individuals. During this raid, thirteen female sex workers and two male sex workers who were selling themselves for money at the respective locations were taken into police custody.

Police investigations have confirmed that they are residents of various parts of the island, including Dehiwala, Ratnapura, Kalawana, Galle, Polonnaruwa, Galenbindunuwewa, Kekirawa, Deniyaya, and Baddegama.

Kottawa Police OIC, Chief Police Inspector Roshan de Zoysa, had received confidential information regarding this illegal racket. Accordingly, based on a legally obtained search warrant from the court, these three centers located in Mahawalarawa, Borella Road, and Malabe Road areas were subjected to a sudden inspection. It was revealed that one of the arrested women had acted as the manager of one center. Furthermore, the police state that the two male individuals taken into police custody had orchestrated this racket while serving as managers of the other two centers. All arrested suspects (male and female) were scheduled to be produced before the Homagama Magistrate's Court on the 1st of last month.
