The American-Israeli and Iranian war, which began on February 28, 2026, and is now entering its second month, is operating under the name 'Operation Epic Fury,' and so far, more than 2,076 Iranian nationals have died and over 26,500 have been injured.
In the past 24 hours, American and Israeli forces have launched a series of powerful airstrikes on Baharestan, south of Isfahan in central Iran, causing severe damage to major industrial and missile-related infrastructure. These attacks have damaged steel mills and a pharmaceutical research laboratory, severely impacting the country's national medical supply network. Analysts point out that attacks on areas near sensitive locations pose a risk of further escalation of the war. Iran has described these attacks on civilian-populated areas as war crimes.
Additionally, targeting the missile launch supply network, the Karaj B1 bridge near Tehran, one of the tallest bridges in the Middle East, has been attacked twice, destroying its main sections. Eight people, including civilians, have died, and 95 others have been injured. Commenting on this attack, US President Donald Trump posted a video on his Truth Social account, stating that "Iran's largest bridge has collapsed, and they will face more severe attacks if they do not reach an agreement before it's too late." Iran has pledged to rebuild it stronger and faster and to respond to attacks with devastating force.
In response to these attacks, Iran has launched 10 to 20 ballistic missiles towards central areas of Israel, damaging numerous industrial buildings and vehicles in the Petah Tikva area and creating a large crater. While Israeli air defense systems destroyed most missiles over Tel Aviv and Bnei Brak, falling cluster bomb fragments seriously injured an 11-year-old girl, and 5 to 8 other people were also injured. Concurrently, Lebanon's Hezbollah organization has also launched about 60 rocket and drone attacks on Israel, with Iran stating that this is only the beginning of its retaliation.
Warning that it will retaliate until attacks on its territory cease, Iran has extended its attack range to the Gulf region. Accordingly, Iran has attacked a fuel tank complex at Kuwait International Airport, civilian facilities in Bahrain, and a ship off the coast of Qatar, while the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have thwarted attacks against them. Consequently, Kuwaiti and Bahraini authorities have warned their citizens to remain in safe places, and global crude oil prices have risen due to the disruption of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, allowing only selected vessels, such as South African ships, to pass.
Addressing the nation amidst this situation, the American President stated that the objectives of the American-Israeli military operations are currently being fulfilled, and since Iran is no longer a threat, the war could be ended within the next 2-3 weeks, even without a nuclear agreement. He emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz must remain free and open. However, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared the American President's statement that Iran requested a ceasefire as false and baseless, warning of more devastating attacks in the future.
Since the beginning of these conflicts, approximately 24 Israeli nationals have reportedly died. Additionally, the total death toll reported from Iran has exceeded 2,000, including four people killed in an attack on a grassland in Larestan, Iran. UN Secretary-General António Guterres has warned of the risk of this war expanding, and 40 countries, including Australia, have strongly condemned Iran's attacks on the Gulf region. According to American intelligence reports, about 50 percent of Iran's missile and drone launchers are still protected through underground tunnels.
Due to the war, Iran is experiencing electricity and fuel shortages as well as public protests, and survey reports indicate that an economic crisis is also emerging in Israel due to the need to spend time in bomb shelters amidst constant attacks. With illegal oil shipments to China continuing, the global market has become highly unstable.
