283 Iranian nationals who were staying in Sri Lanka returned to their country.

238 Iranian nationals, who were injured in an American attack, rescued by the Sri Lanka Navy, and detained in the country, have been repatriated last night (14) by a special Iranian aircraft.

This special aircraft, IRAN – 09, belonging to Meraj Air Line of Iran, arrived at the Sri Lanka Air Force base near Katunayake Airport on the 14th at approximately 04:00 PM.

Subsequently, 206 Iranian nationals detained at the Welisara detention center and 38 Iranian nationals detained at the Koggala detention center were directed to this aircraft.
