The Iranian Red Crescent Society has issued a severe warning to the country's civilians about toxic rain following a series of massive attacks by American and Israeli forces targeting Iran's fuel depots, refineries, and oil facilities. With this escalating war situation over nine days, energy infrastructure in several major cities, including Tehran, has been destroyed, and Iran has also launched counter-attacks targeting Gulf regional states.

Due to the fuel fires, several areas, including Tehran, are already covered in thick black smoke.

Authorities indicate that these toxic acid rains are caused by hydrocarbons, sulfur compounds, and other combustion by-products released into the atmosphere by these massive explosions and fires, mixing with rainwater. The Red Crescent Society emphasizes that contaminated rainwater falling on the skin can cause chemical burns, and inhalation can lead to severe lung damage. Locals and observers have already reported an oily black rain falling on Tehran, generating significant fear among the public regarding air and water pollution.

Issuing a statement via the Telegram social media network, the Iranian Red Crescent Society urges the public not to leave their homes for any reason during rainfall after the explosions. If caught outdoors in the rain, they advise avoiding going under trees and immediately seeking a safe place with a concrete or metal roof. Furthermore, if someone is exposed to this toxic rain, they are instructed to avoid rubbing the affected area, immediately wash their skin with running cool water, and quickly change wet clothes.
