He also confirmed that all fuel vessels currently on order are arriving in Sri Lanka as usual, according to the scheduled timetable.Meanwhile, fuel distribution for orders placed by filling stations across the island has also been activated as of yesterday. Under this, 616 orders from Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), 204 orders from Lanka IOC (LIOC), 247 orders from Sinopec, and 248 orders from RM Parks have been distributed. The Managing Director warns the public to be vigilant regarding fraudulent activities reported concerning the National Fuel Pass, or QR system. Information has been revealed that individuals are collecting personal data through fake websites and accounts, misusing the name of the Petroleum Corporation, and attempting to create QR codes in the names of other individuals using that data. He requests the public to refrain from providing their information to any external party or website other than the official government website, fuelpass.gov.lk, as falling victim to such scams could result in the legitimate owner losing the opportunity to re-create their QR code. Furthermore, he stated that necessary steps are currently being taken to promptly resolve the issues faced by consumers experiencing difficulties in registration due to changes in mobile phone numbers or vehicles.
