Actor Rajitha Hiran alleges that the current government is staging political dramas targeting the Rajapaksa family to cover up the weaknesses in its administration and suppress the public's growing opposition. Mr. Rajitha Hiran, who accompanied former Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa when he appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department, stated this to the media today (03).

Commenting on the current political situation and the people gathered around the Rajapaksa family, he likened it to an ancient historical narrative, stating that if Queen Viharamahadevi were to be imprisoned at a moment when Prince Dutugemunu was entering the battlefield, the Ten Great Giants would naturally rally around her. He sarcastically added that, given his physical stature, he might be the Gotaimbara giant, and he specifically emphasized that he still considers Mahinda Rajapaksa as the leader of the country.

Mr. Rajitha Hiran points out that in a context where the current government has failed to fulfill its promises to the people, and the public is rising against economic pressure, such investigative topics are being socialized to divert their attention.

Meanwhile, he strongly refuted allegations circulating on social media that he received salaries from the army, stating that these reports are completely false and that he will soon prove it with evidence. Challenging critics to arrest him if he has committed any wrongdoing, Mr. Rajitha Hiran also urged them to present accusations directly by mentioning his name, rather than hiding behind the nickname 'Ping Pong'.

Furthermore, he stated that the rumor circulating about him receiving the seat organizer position of Mr. Gamini Lokuge is false, and that those who spread false propaganda based solely on a photograph have been severely misled this time.
