Two suspects connected to two murders that occurred in the Dehiwala and Kohuwala areas have been arrested by the Western Province South District Crime Division.
It has been revealed that the arrested individuals aided and abetted in the incident where the owner of a hotel in the Dehiwala police division was shot dead on the 9th of last month, as well as in the incident where a person traveling in a three-wheeler was shot dead in the Bodhiyawatta area of the Kohuwala police division on December 12th of last year.
Police state that these are two 18-year-olds residing in the Boralesgamuwa and Mount Lavinia areas.
At the time of the suspects' arrest, 14 grams and 730 milligrams of 'Ice' drug (crystal methamphetamine) were found in their possession and taken into police custody.
Investigations have revealed that these crimes were aided and abetted under the direction of an organized criminal and drug trafficker currently residing abroad.
Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Western Province South District Crime Division.
