Special traffic plan in Colombo for the England cricket team's Sri Lanka matches

The Sri Lanka Police has announced a special traffic plan for the England Cricket team's tournament, which is scheduled to be held at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

This special traffic plan is scheduled to be implemented on January 22, 24, and 27, 2026.

On match days, from 12:00 PM until the end of the match, drivers and the public are requested to use alternative routes to facilitate traffic flow on roads around the stadium.

Accordingly, the roads affected under this plan are named as Pradeepa Mawatha, Saddharma Mawatha, Jayantha Weerasekara Mawatha, Temple Road (Katarama Mawatha), 100 Feet Road, Bodhiraja Road, Vincent Perera Road, and Dr. Brito Babapulle Place.

However, the Sri Lanka Police emphasizes that none of these roads will be closed or have traffic restrictions, and normal traffic flow will be maintained as usual.
