National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa states that the resignation of a mere ministry official is not sufficient in the face of the problem that has arisen regarding the controversial Grade 6 English module, and that Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya should resign from her relevant post, practically demonstrating the advanced political culture promised to the people on election platforms.

The MP points out that although the head of the National Institute of Education has been removed from his post in connection with this incident, the appointments to that position were made by the Prime Minister, and since she is also in charge of the Ministry of Education, it is the Prime Minister who should resign, taking moral responsibility.

The MP, pointing out that an external party does not have the opportunity to print a book as they wish, also stated that he sees the Ministry Secretary's submission of a complaint to the Criminal Investigation Department regarding this issue as a joke.

Namal Rajapaksa further emphasized that no one can mislead the Ministry Secretary, and that one person alone cannot make decisions in such a subject area, adding that the subject minister and the Ministry Secretary are definitely aware of such decisions during the decision-making process.
