One person killed in Jinthupitiya shooting

Police say that a person who was seriously injured in a shooting that took place last night (16) in the Jinthupitiya area of Colombo and admitted to the Colombo National Hospital has died. The Police Media Division further states that two other children injured in the incident, which occurred in the area belonging to the Coastal Police Division, are receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

The person who lost his life is a 44-year-old man. Preliminary investigations have revealed that a group of people who arrived in a three-wheeler carried out this shooting.

However, the reason for this shooting has not yet been revealed, and the police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
