On November 7th last year, an underworld gang broke into this nightclub, set it on fire, and destroyed it, and several people sustained burn injuries in that incident.
The police state that individuals allegedly connected to last year's attack have already been arrested and remanded, and an identification parade for them is scheduled to be held on the 29th of this month at the Fort Magistrate's Court in Colombo. In connection with the current shooting, Kollupitiya Police have found about sixteen T-56 automatic firearm bullets around the music school building. Police sources report that CCTV camera footage revealed one of two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle carrying out this shooting.
