Four brothers and a domestic worker died in an accident on the Abu Dhabi - Dubai highway

Four Indian national siblings and a domestic helper died in a horrific car accident on the Abu Dhabi - Dubai highway in the United Arab Emirates, and the uncle of the deceased children stated that the accident happened in the blink of an eye. For the first time, a family relative revealed details to the media about this incident, which shocked the entire community on the morning of January 4, stating that they faced this unfortunate fate while returning home after watching the Liwa festival in Abu Dhabi.

On January 2, Rukhsana and Abdul Latheef, along with their five children and a cousin's domestic helper, set off on an outing with the aim of having one last fun time before schools reopened on January 5. After camping overnight in the Hatta area, they decided to visit the Liwa festival at the children's request, and this sudden decision ultimately ended in a great tragedy.

It is reported that while returning, Abdul Latheef handed over the driving to Rukhsana, and a short while later, the vehicle she was driving collided with a car in front. Due to the sudden fear at that moment, she swerved the vehicle to the right, and simultaneously, the out-of-control SUV veered off the road and rolled onto a soft sand dune. The children's uncle described that due to the speed of the vehicle rolling over, the children were thrown out through broken windows even though the doors were closed.

Only the parents and their 10-year-old daughter, Isa, survived the accident, and the police and emergency services had to cut open the vehicle's doors to rescue them from being trapped. Relatives state that this was a fateful event and that the rest departed by Allah's will, also mentioning that the other car involved in the accident did not sustain much damage.

The biggest challenge for the family in this sorrowful time is telling the surviving young daughter that her four siblings have died. She still asks about her siblings, and family relatives say that she needs counseling to understand the truth. The family is in deep distress about how to tell Isa about the loss of these children, who were studying at a British school in Dubai.

The injured mother, Rukhsana, has undergone several surgeries on her arm, and as soon as she recovers, she plans to return to their hometown in Kerala.
