Emergency water suspension in Dehiwala, Wellawatta, Kolonnawa, and several other areas.

Due to a reported sudden breakdown in the main water supply line that supplies water from Ambatale to Dehiwala, the water supply will be suspended in several areas around Colombo today (3rd).

The areas where the water supply will be suspended include Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, Soysapura, Ratmalana, Mount Lavinia, Dehiwala, Wellawatte, Pamankada, Mulleriyawa, and Kolonnawa.

Furthermore, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board states that water will be supplied to the Battaramulla area under low pressure.

However, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board further announced that this sudden breakdown is expected to be repaired before midnight today (3rd), and the water supply restored to normal.
