Bomb threat to Badulla District Secretariat

The police announce that while two bomb threats were made against the Kandy District Secretariat, a bomb threat has also been made against the Badulla District Secretariat today.

Police state that this latest threat was also received via email and is similar to the previous threats reported from the Kandy area.

Due to this, as a precautionary measure, steps have been taken to immediately evacuate the staff of the Badulla District Secretariat.

Police further stated that search operations are currently underway and special units have been deployed to inspect the premises.

However, police confirm that no suspicious objects have been found so far.
