Dulmini Attanayake Marries, Leaving 'Sons-in-Law' Behind – Sajith-Ranil Rift Ignites at Wedding

 The marriage of Dulmini Attanayake, daughter of Tissa Attanayake, who became a captivating figure on the internet some time ago, took place recently. At the time, she became the subject of humorous anecdotes due to her pronunciation of 'obtaining bail' as 'obtaining apples' when Tissa was imprisoned. Reports also emerged then about a 'Sons-in-Law Association' that had high hopes for her, but she left those 'sons-in-law' behind and married a millionaire businessman last week.
The wedding ceremony between Miss Dulmini Attanayake, daughter of former Minister Tissa Attanayake, National Organizer of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, and businessman Anoj Kumarage, was held at St. Theresa's Church in Thimbirigasyaya, Colombo, where this special encounter occurred.

Here, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa participated on behalf of the bride's side, and former President Ranil Wickremesinghe participated on behalf of the groom's side to sign as witnesses.

Although the two leaders were seated at the same table to sign as witnesses, a friendly, lengthy conversation was not observed between them; rather, a certain coolness or animosity was apparent. It is reported that despite the former President's attempts to engage in conversation, the two acted like adversaries, not properly facing each other.

After signing as witnesses, when the Opposition Leader was preparing to leave, former President Ranil Wickremesinghe inquired if the Opposition Leader would attend the dinner reception that evening. Responding briefly with "We'll see," Mr. Sajith Premadasa then departed the venue, but he did not attend the subsequent dinner reception.

Many politicians, including Karu Jayasuriya, Thalatha Atukorale, Vajira Abeywardena, Gayantha Karunatilaka, and Ranjith Madduma Bandara, attended this wedding ceremony. It is also reported that former President Maithripala Sirisena and several Samagi Jana Balawegaya MPs and Ministers were present at the dinner reception held at a leading hotel in Colombo.
