Minister Vidurata hooted as he went to agree on a temple to say that Siddhartha's Enlightenment took place in Habarana

A group of people from Colombo who claimed to have attained enlightenment at the Hiriwadunna Bodhirajaramaya in Habarana under the name of Sidhuhath Thausa Gautama had to leave again amidst the hooting of the villagers due to the heated situation between the residents of the Hiriwadunna Dayaka Sabha area on the 8th. 

The group, who are said to have accompanied State Minister of Culture Vidura Wickremanayake, showed off some of the old photographs and books at the site and pointed out the historicity of the place. The Chief Incumbent of the temple, Ven. Boralesgamuwa Sumedha Thero said that a team of archaeologists was also present at the site when the Minister arrived. 

Minister of State Vidura Wickremanayake addressed the archaeologists present at the site and inquired as to the historicity of the site and whether it had been altered. Archaeological officials, as well as those present with the Minister, said various things. 

Minister In a stern tone, the archaeologist, told officials he could not play with himself. Later, the Chief Registrar of the Palugaswewa Sasanarakshaka Bala Mandalaya, the Chief Incumbent of the Habarana Tampita Rajamaha Vihara, Dr. Bogaswewa Vipassi Thero came to this place.  Minister of State Vidura Wickremanayake at the time also said that he too did not accept that the Supreme Buddha was born in this country. 

During the conversation between the Minister and the group, the villagers in and around the congregation became agitated. They shouted that the group that came with the Minister was trying hard to spread this opinion and was threatening their Lord. Therefore, they started calling in front of the Minister that they would not allow any misconceptions in any way. The Minister visited the Boralesgamuwa Sumedha Thero and the Chief Secretary of the Palugaswewa Sasanarakshaka Bala Mandalaya Ven. At that time, outsiders were removed and only the officials of the Archaeological Department were taken to the residence and allowed to.
