Engineer stabs 20-year-old student in a relationship with his wife

The Negombo Additional Magistrate has granted bail to a suspect who allegedly chased and stabbed a 20-year-old student who had an affair with his beautiful young wife while he was not at home. P. M. Champika Rajapaksa issued the order on the 26th. The 49-year-old engineer who was arrested by the Katana Police and produced before the court is an engineer in charge of communications and music for a well-known band in the Wennappuwa area. 

He left Katana for work in Wennappuwa and returned home on Monday morning. He had returned home at around 10.00 pm on the day of the incident. Suspicious of the curtain rising in the house, he told his wife to open the door. At that moment, he saw a young man jumping out of the back door of the house, and the engineer chased after him. According to the complaint, the stabbing had taken place there. When the suspect engineer was produced before the court, Senior Counsel Suraj Jayamanne, who appeared for the accused, told the court that the case's facts were true. After considering the facts presented, the Additional Magistrate granted bail to the suspect. Katana police conducted the complaint. Senior Counsel Suraj Jayamanne appeared for the accused. A further hearing will be held on March 02.
