Chilaw District General Hospital Director Kapila Mallawarachchi said that the medical examination confirmed that the youth who died on admission to the Chilaw Hospital was not a corona patient.
According to the report of the particular medical inquiry carried out on him, this was confirmed.
The deceased has been identified as M.Niroshan Maduwatte(23), a resident of Weerahena West, Marawila.
He was admitted to the Mundalama government hospital on the 10th of this month. He was transferred to the Chilaw District General Hospital.
He was diagnosed with coronary heart disease. An inquiry has been initiated, and the report was received yesterday afternoon.
The post-mortem examination of the body was carried out, and the last rites were performed at the Chilaw crematorium under corona rules, the hospital director said.
