It is said that this person who is said to be a teacher at Seevali Maha Vidyalaya, Ratnapura has also gone to Aloysius Central College, Ratnapura on office requirements.
He left school on the third Friday in July, just before school, at about 10 a.m., signing that he had received his salary. Authorities have found information that non-academic staff were staying at the school at the time and that neither teachers nor students were staying.
Schools started on Monday, July 6th. However, the Department of Education, including the Health and Security Departments, is taking necessary steps in this regard on the suspicion that there may be close associates of the teacher.
A Ratnapura health official has stated that the principal of the college, no teacher or student has been quarantined so far. Various rumours have been circulating in the area that the teacher, who was a cadet coach, had been associated with PCR while he was in Ratnapura. Steps have been taken to investigate.
The teacher was residing in Ganegoda area near Saman Devalaya in Ratnapura, and his wife and child were also taken to PCR. Has been referred to an investigation.
