Chinese president first lady offers tribute to Devi Balika students

First lady of Chinese president Mr. Xi JinPing has responded to a letter of a group of schoolgirls of a girls' school in Sri Lanka expressing her gratitude for the cooperation rendered for the battle by China against the Covid 19 epidemic. It was to students of Colombo Devi Balika Vidyalaya that the first lady of Chinese president that this letter was directed. 

A group of students of Colombo Devi Balika Vidyalaya have sent sketchings and a letter expressing
support for the battle China is engaged in against Covid - 19 epidemic. She has acknowledged receipt of the said sketchings and letter. On that occasion Mrs. Ping has mentioned that the Chinese president has taken a great liking to these sketchings and that in the battle against the covid epidemic all categories of people in Sri Lanka have hastened to bless and add greetings to China. On this occasion, the first lady of China has mentioned that by now China and her people are united in a battle with utmost effort to combat this epidemic and that positive results have been reaped in preventing it and in controlling it. 

Mrs. Peng has further stated that China has the firm belief that spread of covid - 19 epidemic could be brought under control; that friendship between Sri Lanka and China has a log history and that she hopes that Sri Lankan schoolgirls would dedicate themselves to their studies and would one day turn out to be young consulates who would promote friendship between the two countries.
