Elite ladies of Poland who come to Sri Lanka to help after seeing Easter attack ... robbed in Katuwapitiya!
After hearing of the immense damage caused to Katuwapitiya church from the Easter attack, having seeing it across internet have been struck with shock and two rich Polish nationals have thought of seeing this with their own eyes and have arrived in Sri Lanka last 12th.

Acting officer in charge of Katana police unsolved crime unit, Mr. Sudath Gunawardena said that the two of them were youngsters addicted to heroin.

On preliminary investigations carried out, it was revealed that these two ladies had on the 12th has had a look at Katuwapitiya church and after searching for information in order to visit homes of the villagers were on their way when two young men who had come on a motor-bike had grabbed a travelling bag of one of the ladies and beat a retreat. In the bag was her passport, mobile phones and cash. These two ladies had subsequently complained to Katana police about this robbery after which the police had commenced investigations and then nabbed the robbers.
These two heroin addicts were suspects wanted for four incidents of robbing travelling bags of foreigners this same way, it was revealed at inquiries. The two suspects taken into custody is 25 year old Lakshitha Silva residing at D.S. Janapadaya, DEmanhandiya and Asantha Silva living at Brownswaththa, Demanhandiya, Katana. The suspects are expected to be produced before court. Because of this incident, these two ladies who who arrived in Sri Lanka with the motive of bestowing support to Sri Lanka have been subjected to a shock and have left the island in a sense of disappointment, it was reported.
