"Consulate office still have not cared anything about us" -- Complaint from campus student anticipating doctorate .. stuck in Wuhan
Prageeth Roshan Weerathunga who has served as a lecturer of Raja Rata university and presently is stationed in Wuhan, China for his doctorate from among the 31 Sri Lankan students stuck by now in Wuhan in China has expressed his ideas through VChat has expressed an allegation across the media.
He is a resident of Hatton Norwood in Sri Lanka and what he said was that no action has been taken
by the Sri Lankan consulate office so far to evacuate the Sri Lankan students who are in the high-risk zone. He informed that Wuhan area in China has been identified as a high-risk zone where the corona virus has spread and that a large number of both male and female Sri Lankan students are engaged in education activities in several universities in that zone. He said that according to that prevailing condition, university authorities of that country have issued instructions to refrain from the hostel and though he had constantly been in touch with authorities of Sri Lanka consulate authorities, the latter have not shown any interest in shifting the Sri Lankan students who are stationed in that high-risk zone.
He further remarked that it has been confirmed that Sri Lankan students within that risk-zone are not infected with the corona virus; that 31 male and female students following the education are in his company and that they are confined to the hostel with various difficulties and minimum facilities. Under these circumstances he makes a request from the authorities take action in get down both Sri Lankan male and female students to this country including himself who are within the risk-zone in Wuhan, China.
