Sensitive talk given by the Maths 'first' about courage given by parents to achieve victory at A/Ls

It was Tharusha Shihan Fonseka of Colombo Ananda College who became 'first' in Maths medium new syllabus in the general certificate of education advanced level in the island. 

This student who reached first place in the island was someone who reached that position by coming from a poverty stricken family in Moratuwa, Koralawella area through an arduous journey.  This
student who achieved first position made a special statement which no other student who won a 'first' has so far not told the media. 

It was revealed from the statement of this student that any parent who wishes his or her child marching towards progress is ready to undergo any suffering. While saying how he did not watch TV, did not attend tuition classes, Tharusha Shihan of Ananda College who thanked his parents said, "I am from Moratuwa, Koralawella. We are not from the high class. Father did not tell me about the suffering he underwent. But I know. Though father gave me to eat ... there were instances when he had to forego his meals. The only thing I wanted was to enter Moratuwa campus. I tried to achieve a rank to bring happiness and honour to mother as well as father. I take this an opportunity to bestow merit on them".
