Health condition aggravates -- Though arrangements made to escort Rajitha to prison hospital .. turned futile
Though various news was seen across media that former minister Mr. Rajitha Senaratna who was under treatment at Narahenpita Lanka Private Hospital with police protection, after having been taken into custody was to be transferred to prison hospital today (29), it did not materialise as reported this evening.

A number of media reporters had hovering around Lanka Hospitals and had even announced 'breaking news'. However it was reported in the evening that as the health condition of former minister Rajitha Senaratna had deteriorated, being transferred to prison hospital was suspended. A senior officer of prison department stated that the special team of officers sent out to escort the minister was recalled. What doctors at Narahenpita Lanka Private Hospital has mentioned was that as his health condition was serious, he was admitted to intensive care unit. It was thus also reported that the ambulance and accompanying team who set off to bring former minister to prison hospital was recalled under such circumstances.
