Cinema actor Bandu Samarasingha who has turned out to be a leading speaker at Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna rallies these days has mentioned at a rally where in the presence of Gotabhaya - Mahinda and to an audience of estate workers in Nuwara Eliya that though he is now forty years since marriage he still does not know what menstrual periods are. The haughty manner in which he mentioned that story about his ignorance has created
criticisms within social media. 

"What I say now ... is among those stories of Sajith ... an unnecessary thing is mentioned about women. It's forty years since I got married. I still don't know what it is. They are saying this as if going to a bakery and buying a loaf of roast bread. That can't be done. Ha ha, ha ... countries don't do things like that. Ha, ha ... Budu Puthune! Budu mahathune!"
